The Bound
You are The Bound. A lone entity tethered to a single point of stability—a stillpoint—in a chaotic, unravelling void. You cannot move. You cannot escape. But you can control your tether.
Master the fundamental forces of attraction and repulsion. Using a fragile beam of energy, your mission is to pull in the last lingering Echoes of a forgotten reality. Each Echo you collect brings a moment of calm. But beware—the void fights back. Twisted Rifts of pure chaos are drawn to your light, and a single touch is enough to destabilize your core.
The Bound is a minimalist game of skill, timing, and spatial awareness. Can you manipulate the chaos to your advantage and survive the void?
Gameplay
- You do not move. Your survival depends on mastering your tether.
- Attract & Repel. Use your beam to pull valuable Echoes towards you while pushing dangerous Rifts away.
- Two Game Modes Test your skills in two distinct challenges:
- Timed Mode: You have 3 lives and 20 seconds. Each Echo you collect adds precious seconds to the clock. How long can you last?
- Timeless Mode: No clock, just 3 lives. The void grows increasingly faster and more chaotic over time. A pure test of endurance.
Controls
- Hold Left Mouse Button: Activate Attraction beam (pulls objects).
- Hold Right Mouse Button: Activate Repulsion beam (pushes objects).
- Aim with your mouse.
About the Developer
The Bound is a small, solo-developed project created in one week. It's my first step into game development, exploring themes of isolation, control, and survival in a hostile universe.
